Abulensis 2016, Ávila, 23-27 August

After our concert in Antwerp, we will be heading to the wonderful walled town of Ávila in Spain. Ávila is very much associated with 16th Century Spain’s greatest composer,Tomás Luis de Victoria, who was a choirboy in the cathedral there.We will perform a concert of Spanish music including music by Victoria and some of his predecessors including Francisco Guerrero, Francisco de Peñalosa and Juan del Enzina. We will also be taking some masterclasses with small ensembles who will then have a chance to perform in a concert themselves at the end of the week.
